A Social Worker by profession, Ms. Scholastica Nakitto was the first elected female president of UCIGC. She has been actively involved in Community organizing activities since the 1970s. She played a Co-founding role in the subsequent formation of the present day UCIGC. She is very industrious, straightforward and committed to the cause of the Ugandan Community in Greater Chicago. She has served on the UCIGC Board of Trustees since its formation to present. She works as a Child Protection Specialist with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). She has a three decade long working experience and knowledge of the Illinois policies/ regulations and laws that protect children from abuse and neglect. Ms. Scholastica Nakitto is a recipient of the UCIGC Distinguished Service Award 2011.
